Indianapolis, IN, USA, Mar. 9, 2017 -- Leaping the Chasm ("LTC" or the "Organization"), which raises life transition awareness and advocates for women in their 40's, 50's and beyond, announced today the expansion of their online resources designed to take the effort out of searching for specific solutions to ease tough life transitions.
The expanded access to resources includes subject matter such as menopause, skills gaps, women's organizations, legal and financial assistance, selling and downsizing, resume building, dozens of job search engines and much more. LTC's resources helps women take charge of their life transitions by taking the hours, days or weeks of research and anxiety out of finding information and solutions. Additionally, women are able to bolster their confidence and strengthen their resolve by knowing this step has already been taken for them.
"The expansion of our online resources will be ongoing. There are always more ways to solve problems and more places to find information. Our team is committed to bringing that value to our audience as we source these resources," explains Jennifer Arthur, LTC Founder, Discourse and Ideation Leader. "The tough life transitions that women of an assured age experience are common to all of us, yet vary widely from one person to the next in how we experience them. Any combination of natural and/or unexpected transitions may occur in a woman's life. There's no way to know what one individual's needs are over another's. We do know, however, many of the ways a woman's life can be devastated by transition in mid-life."
Transitions experienced by women approaching or over 50 can include any combination of the following:
• Unfair employment/dismissal practices (age/wage/gender)
• Prolonged unemployment w/o compensation
• Financial distress and bankruptcy
• Skills gaps and career competition
• Menopause and mental anguish
• Failing health/lack of insurance
• Relocation and liquidation
• Divorce or separation
• Sandwich generation/empty nest/caretaking
• Death of a parent, spouse, family member
• Generalized stress and anxiety
• Loneliness/depression/grief
LTC is working to source and provide access to help, information and solutions that can ease the challenges associated with these transitions.
"While we recognize that we need to work on the aesthetic of our online resources, our main concern is making sure that we make them available to the women who need them," added Ms. Arthur. "Our mindset is 'solutions first.' We'll make it pretty second."
LTC will refresh and grow its online resources on a continual basis. Visitors are encouraged to explore these online resources at https://www.leapingthechasm.com/resource-center/.
